May is the month of mental health recognition. Dr. KRISTEN JUREK of the Coordinator Recovery St. Cloud VA joined Wjon with me. She talked about depression with mental illness. Dr. Jurek indicates that he is seeing in a mental health state with a lot of depression. She says that when someone experiences depression, she feels sad and lasts for more than two weeks. Dr. Jurek wants to see this condition when it interferes with daily functions.

What is depression?
Dr. Jurek explains that depression has sorrow and despair, joy of activity, changes in weight and appetite, sleeping difficulties, less energy, no value, intensive problems, and suicide. If a Veterans experience these symptoms, they must come to the customer and call 320-252-1670 to ask for mental health and conversation.
