NHS is to open a mental health accident and emergency room network throughout the UK to alleviate the pressure on the crowded hospital A & E and emergency services.
Patients who feel suicide or experience symptoms such as psychosis or mania can walk or attend the department by GPS and the police.
This unit is aimed by a professional doctor and a nurse who provides support for 24 hours.
The Time NHS Trusts has established a dedicated unit for mental health emergencies, and The Times is expected to expand nationwide as part of the 10 -year NHS plan published by the Labor Party this summer.
James Mackey, CEO of NHS England, told The Times:
“In addition to alleviating the pressure on busy A & E, the mental health crisis evaluation center can accelerate the appropriate treatment to help people go out of the hospital because it can help people need it.”
Last week, Eddian reported that thousands of people suffering from a mental health crisis continued to wait up to three days at A & E before they got a bed.
The findings are included in the study of Royal College of Nursing.
Based on the free request for information on the NHS trust on the UK and the evidence of a senior nurse, the study found that at least 5,260 people were waiting for more than 12 hours in the mental health crisis in the mental health crisis, and 1,000 people decided to rise in the bed in 2019.
The senior nurse in the southwestern England said: “Many people will come and wait, but as you can imagine, some of them are in a serious crisis, they want to leave.
