teaHe has opened a mental health A & E network throughout the UK to alleviate pressure on hospitals and emergency services.
The unit supports patients with a professional doctor and a nurse who feels suicide on behalf of employees as employees as employees, or experienced symptoms such as psychosis or mania for 24 hours.
The patient can walk by GPS and the police or refer to the police, and is set up as 24/7, and is designed to provide a “calm and welcome” environment, unlike the “noise and chaos” of major hospitals.
Last year, 250,000 people went to A & E because of the mental health crisis, but one in three had to wait for more than 12 hours, and the existing NHS treatment was described as “inappropriate and inappropriate.”
There are 10 NHS Trusts Now, a separate unit has been launched for mental health emergencies, and some are on the existing A & E site, which is open to patients mentioned by GPS and police as well as large patients.
The system is expected to expand to dozens of regions nationwide as part of the 10 -year NHS plan published by this summer.

“In addition to alleviating the pressure on busy A & E, the Mental Health Crisis Evaluation Center can accelerate the appropriate treatment to provide people with the help that needs faster to go out of the hospital.”
The new unit will help to alleviate the pressure on the crowded hospital A & E in the ongoing “corridor management” crisis.
Last year, 1.7 million patients had to wait at least 12 hours in A & E in the UK and were involved in thousands of inevitable deaths. Mental health patients are more likely to experience longer than other patients, and some are waiting for up to 18 days to get beds.
The UK’s public service announced that the MET police will no longer be delivered to mental health demands by struggling to cope with the increase in demand for patients with mental health crisis.
Claire Murdoch, director of NHS Mental Health, said: “I want to see mental health A & E nationwide for the next 10 years.”
The new service aims to provide a “complete and overall evaluation” of the patient’s mental health demands and to solve the root cause of the crisis. MURDOCH said that early intervention could help people escape and work out of the hospital and provide “economic benefits to a broader society.”

This is not a general A & E waiting room. Initially, there are two “emotional support dogs” that the miniature pinch, called Maxwell and MITSI, embraces the patients. Sunlight is streaming through the window, and colorful works of art decorate the wall. The mental health crisis evaluation service of Ladbroke Grove in West London is the first of the new waves of “Mental Health A & ES” released by NHS. The device is operated by Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) and offers services in one -third of the London population. It was specially established to provide a “warm, welcome, and peaceful” environment for those with mental health crisis, such as people who feel suicide, manual or have psychotic thoughts.
“The person who enters is seen by a mental health professional in 10 minutes,” said Toti Freysson, a mental health nurse who manages the service. “In general, A & E will have to wait for a few hours, surrounded by noise and confusion. Most people we see have suicide thoughts. We can come here and sit with our families. We can intervene early and connect with the treatment of the community. It means we can return home much faster.”
This unit is an employee for mental health nurses, doctors and medical assistants for 24 hours. The employee sees about 300 patients a month. Since there are three bedrooms, the patient can officially be admitted to the hospital or stay for a few nights without being detained according to mental health law. Some obtain drugs such as anti -psychotic drugs or sedatives, while nurses provide immediate response strategies.
Dr. Mehtab Rahman, a consultant psychiatrist at the center, said: “A & E is often the most inappropriate place for mental health patients. They are people who are listening to the voice of killing themselves.
For those who are experiencing a mental health crisis, you can use it for 24 hours.

Rahman provides quick support means that even the most severe ill patients are often stabilized and ready to go home after two days, Rahman said. If such patients went to major A & ES, they probably admitted to mental health wards and said, “I would have stayed at the end for several weeks.”
Selena Cox, an emergency nursing deputy director, said before the employees left, “Please make sure you have a plan.” This may include connecting people with local homeless, debt or addicted charity, or preparing a home treatment team. The staff aims to solve the root cause of people brought to crisis. “We tell people that they can come back whenever they want. Sometimes everyone needs a safe space and a safe environment.”

Andy Bell, chief executive of the Mental Healthy Charity Center, said the new mental health A & E should be supported by “strong research” to ensure safety. “One of the real concerns is that many people need urgent physical health care,” he said. “It is not always possible to separate the mental health crisis from the physical health crisis.”
Mental Health Minister, Baroness Merron, said: “People who are so often in mental health crisis do not receive eligible support or treatment, so it’s important to continue to provide various services like this.
“We are receiving £ 660 million government funding this year, we are changing mental health services. We invest 26 million pounds in the new mental health crisis center, hire more employees, provide more conversations, and have a list of waiting for change.”
