The Army’s Elite Ranger School, which is considered one of the most terrible leadership processes in the army, is starting a new physical assessment designed to better measure the endurance and power needed to complete the course.
The revised standard debuted with Ranger School Class 06-25 from April 21, indicating the peak of years of development and sophistication. Students are evaluated on the first day of the course. The previous evaluation focuses on individual rating events, but the new version consists of a continuous evaluation of the candidate’s ability to maintain high -intensity physical activity.
Ranger School Students spend a short time to run two runs instead of isolated rating, and generally have a variety of exercise training that matches the fitness test for professional badges. This evaluation ends with longer runs and jaw ups.

Jennifer Gunn, an army spokesman, said, “The new (evaluation) will allow the Ranger course executives to evaluate the potential Ranger candidate’s ability to withstand the physical strength of the Ranger course.
The new fitness measurement consists of the following events, and students will be composed of the next event with students wearing standard army combat uniforms and boots within 14 minutes.
- Run 800 meters
- 30 Dead stop push -up
- 100 meters sprint
- Event where students lift 16 40 pounds of sandbags to 68 -inch platforms
- Carrie of a 50 -meter farmer consisting of 40 pounds of 5 gallon water, respectively
- 25 meters high crawls and 25 meters 3-5 seconds rushing 50 meters drills
- Run another 800 meter
When these events are completed, students will change to fitness uniforms and run four miles within 32 minutes. After running, the soldiers will perform six jaw ups.
Previously, Ranger School students went through a special fitness test consisting of at least 49 push -ups in two minutes, 59 sit -ups in two minutes, and 5 miles in 40 minutes. I ran 5 miles within 5 miles within 40 minutes.
Meanwhile, this service is improving Army combat fitness test or ACFT. All soldiers have a rating. The army faced the deadline for the parliamentary duty to adjust the combat weapon soldier test standard by June.
Service planners are currently stating whether to add a variety of ways to switch scores and events or to add events.
The Ranger School is open to the army of each service as a 62 -day infantry leadership process, headquartered in Fort Benning, Georgia.
