HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — A new mental health facility has opened in Conway to address the county’s urgent need for mental health resources.

“Mental health care is broken and we are here to fix it,” Greenzweig said.
He noted that rapid population growth in recent years has exacerbated already scarce mental health resources.
Currently, South Carolina has 16 state-operated community-based mental health centers and inpatient psychiatric care at three state hospitals serving 46 counties.

Greenzweig emphasized the goals of the facility.
“Our goal is to help people before it gets to a crisis level,” Greenzweig said.
Conway’s new facility offers services targeting anxiety, PTSD and depression, with innovative technologies such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) at its core.
“TMS is an incredibly small helmet that targets specific circuits in the brain where things like depression and anxiety live.”
TMS has been available for many years, but expanded insurance coverage has made it more accessible.

The new facility, located on Main Street in Conway, was welcomed by city leaders, the Conway Chamber of Commerce and the community during a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Radial opened its first store in Myrtle Beach in 2024.
