Health Service Research (HSR) The Department of Public Health Science, Virginia University, has partnerships to present special issues of the role of health services in cancer prevention and control. Special issues are edited by Kevin Schulman, MD, Roger Anderson, PHD, Xin Hu, PHD and ASAL PILEHVARI, PHD.
Paradigm movement of cancer screening, such as breast angiography, colonoscopy, and cervical cells, is a pivotal to detecting cancer in early and more treated stages. Treatment, including target therapy, immunotherapy and precision medicine, extends the interval without disease, the overall survival rate has been improved, and the quality of life of the survivor has been improved. Interventions on the delivery and quality of relaxation treatment and hospice utilization have improved their lifetime experience. Health Services Research has greatly contributed to the integration of clinical practice by evaluating these screening programs, treatment and intervention effects, accessibility and implementation strategies.
Nevertheless, it is difficult to ensure a fair approach to the treatment of high -quality cancer for everyone. The imbalance of cancer based on socioeconomic status, gender, gender identification, race, ethnicity, disability, companion disease, nursing delivery system, health policy and geographical positions are still concerned. To solve these imbalances and further improve cancer prevention and control strategies, comprehensive application of medical service research is required.
Medical service studies can contribute to understanding how to improve decision -making based on information in cancer treatment by integrating innovative technical approaches such as artificial intelligence (AI), prediction analysis, big data analysis and evidence synthesis methodology. Health service research also shows policy innovation that encourages access to treatment and patient -centered treatment approach. All opportunities to further strengthen cancer prevention and control and improve patient results.
This special problem includes empirical studies that illuminate the application of health services throughout the cancer treatment of cancer therapy, from prevention and early detection, treatment, survival, and end of life. Examples of interested theme areas include, but are not limited to this.
- Evaluation of tissue structure or design associated with the efficiency and efficiency of cancer treatment quality indicators, cancer management and/or cancer treatment delivery.
- Evaluation of state -of -the -art technology including AI and machine learning:
- To evaluate and/or quantify cancer treatment quality, utilization and results; or
- As a clinical application for improving the actual therapeutic decision, such as risk hierarchization, pattern recognition, or improved diagnostic accuracy, cancer management quality and actual applications.
- Cancer treatment for major stakeholders throughout the cancer control continuum, from the creation of data -oriented recommendations to solve cost or quality, and to end nursing care from prevention to end -of -life nursing care, including insurance companies, professional society, medical service providers, governments, patients and caregivers.
HSR demands green to invite paper submission to this special problem. Green’s initial submission deadline is June 17, 2024. Green cannot exceed 300 words and must be formulated as indicated in the HSR. Author guidelines (Section 2.4.2.2, no keywords).
Green is evaluated by the review panels of several fields. The evaluation criteria include:
- Quality, strictness and originality
- Relationship with Special Issue Theme
- Clearness of writing and presentation.
Green, which is most closely consistent with the standard, will be invited to submit the entire manuscript in November 2024.
The invited manuscript must follow the following Author guidelines And we have the same HSR peer review process as regular manuscript. However, due to the strict timeline for posting special issues, the review and revised process follow the fast timeline. The author must quickly modify. The invited article is posted online according to acceptance. The accepted articles have not been chosen for special issues, but will be posted as regular problems.
The expected publication date for special issues is March 2026.
