Patients told KGW that the mental health service clinic and opioid treatment facilities announced a rapid announcement on Monday.
Vancouver, Wash. According to patients who talked with KGW, two columns in Vancouver seemed to have been closed suddenly. One was the Columbia River Health Mental Health Services Clinic, and the other was the Northstar clinic for addiction treatment.
Patients said the KGW was suddenly closed and had little career before the clinic closed. It is not immediately clear whether another clinic is closed.
At the Northstar Clinic on NE 40th St. in Vancouver, patients told KGW that they had a message to be prescribed on Monday before the clinic closed on Tuesday. Monday morning there was a long line around the building. Some patients expected to wait for more than an hour. Others said that if they wait for a long time, they will be late.
One patient named Ruby Lewis at Columbia River Health Clinic says people of all ages use clinics in KGW to treat treatment. Sudden closure shocked Lewis.
“They did not provide insights and did nothing,” Lewis said. “They just closed the door. So now, many people who need that mental health service desperately will have no mental health services. And it’s bad. It’s really bad.”
Lewis said it would harm the most vulnerable people.
Columbia River Health hasn’t confirmed that the clinic is still closed. KGW contacted for the interview but haven’t heard it yet.
