LAWRENCE, IND. — The Lord and the Federal Government cited Lawrence mental health facilities after the WRTV survey on medical practices.

The optional behavioral health system is faced with 10 suspended litigation, claiming that all patients and their families oppose their will and operate “like prison”.

According to the record, the inspector of the Indiana Health (IDOH), along with the Medicare and Medicaid Service Center (CMS) on November 21, 22, 25, and 25, 2024.

CRAIG INMAN is a father who filed a lawsuit against the health behavior.

INMAN said, “I took a lot of actions.” When you hurt my child, I have no choice but to counterattack. “

He also filed a lawsuit for claiming an optional behavioral health employee who was in charge of his daughter against his will without medical grounds.

Inman said, “This is a 13 -year -old girl who went to the hospital to commit suicide and asked for help.” They must not do this to children.

The IDOH prosecutor found that he had violated the federal regulations several times in optional health while visiting the facility in November.

  • Inadequate restraint and isolation. The state pointed out that the facility pointed out the calm (used chemical redemption) to the daughter of INMAN, but did not show that the employees tried less limited methods such as “language deodorization, relaxation, voluntary time, redirect and/or distracting.”
  • Do not promote or protect the patient’s rights. The state called it a “systematic problem,” and mentioned that the employee did not perform a face -to -face evaluation within an hour after the staff began to be arrested. Before administering chemical restraints, the most limited methods were not documented and did not document the patient’s response to chemical redemption.
  • Inappropriate directors and missing documents. The state did not complete an accident report on the assault, physical confrontation and/or chemical restraint against the daughter of Craig Inman. The prosecutor found another example of a missing document, including injections that were not documented in the patient’s medical records.

The state interviewed the “quality supervision” of the optional behavioral health system on November 22 and confirmed that the nursing staff did not complete the assault or arrest case report for the daughter of INMAN.

Craig Inman said the lack of documents was the most noticeable to the state’s prosecutor’s report.

INMAN says, “Documents and how they handled them, they are experts.” They still don’t even apologize. We did not apologize. “

According to a letter to INMANS on IDOH on February 5, the optional behavioral health has submitted a correction plan to solve the problem and identify the way in the future.

Mental health facilities were not fined by IDOH or CMS.

IDOH Letter said, “We will continue to monitor these requirements when we complete the federal investigations of the necessary weeks and/or facilities.” The complaint is now closed. “

Craig Inman said it is not enough.

INMAN said, “There is no responsibility. When you hurt my family, the red flag has increased, and it does not include the injured innocent people. “

Acadia Healthcare is a parent company of optional behavioral health.

The WRTV survey contacted the IDOH test report and the spokesman provided the following statements on behalf of Acadia Healthcare.

“The Patient Personal Information Protection Act cannot discuss the situation of a specific patient, but the dignity and welfare of the patient are at the center of all of our work, and there is a policy of not being able to attempt patients and employees in danger. We are trying to continue to comply with the latest evidence and community. ”

Craig Inman says his daughter is still having difficulty in what happened in the health of optional behavior.

Inman said, “This will not go to the option.” They are still open. They did not get any problems. “

We asked IDOH and CMS why the report was not posted online.

As of March 21’s deadline, the prosecutor’s report was not explained why it was not a public record.

A CMS spokesman said the optional behavioral health system is now complying with all federal requirements to participate in the Medicare program.

The CMS also provided a copy of the facility’s correctional action plan to WRTV.

However, the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA), another state agency, also examines mental health facilities, but is not posted online.

In fact, if the public wants to see a test report on the mental health hospital, you must request a copy by requesting an official record under the Indiana Public Records Act.

The WRTV took four months to receive a test report on the optional behavioral health. We requested them on July 15, 2024 and received two reports on November 13, 2024.

The last two FSSA test reports on the options were completed in July 2023 and July 2024. Therefore, WRTV expects FSSA to do the next test this summer.

Inman said, “I want to see the state coming in and playing a more active role.”

INMAN said that the office of the Indiana Attorney General contacted him and under investigation.
