New York (WABC) – AMTRAK took a train from New York to Washington DC last week, and passengers with measles were confirmed on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Health, informed the public transportation agency that passengers were on the 175 trains of the northeastern region, which left at 7:30 pm on March 19.
AMTRAK says that the train is informed by customers to inform the exposure as possible.
Health officials confirm that this person is a resident of Minnesota who recently traveled on an international trip. A survey is underway to determine where this person has acquired measles.
The individual flew from Minnesota to Reagan National Airport, but was not infectious in the flight and Minnesota.
Health officials also mentioned that passengers were completely vaccinated. The current MMR vaccine requires two doses and is 97%.
The DC Ministry of Health also warns people who might have been in the Am Track Hall between 11 pm and 1:30 am on March 20.
At 7:00 pm on March 22, people in the Medstar Urgent Care of DC’s Columbia Road in DC may be in danger.
The New York City Health Department knows the situation and says he knows communication with the Ministry of Health.
Breakthrough infections are rare but possible. The CDC said that people who are undergoing measles are less likely to spread disease to others and are generally suffering from disease.
Experts are not sure why groundbreaking infections occur. It is possible that the immune system did not respond not only for the vaccine but also.
Most adults who are vaccinated or previously infected with measles do not require other shots (boosters). CDC considers people who have received two MMR vaccines for life.
If you are not sure about the vaccination status, consult your doctor. If you can’t find a vaccination record or measles immune documents, you will need to be vaccinated with MMR vaccines, CDC says. Blood tests can help determine whether there are protective antibodies in the system, but are not usually recommended.
In addition, less than 5% of American adults (those born between 1963 and 1967) may have received another version of measles called “murdered” vaccines. These people are eligible to be vaccinated again as the current Live MMR vaccine.
Even if you are already immunity to measles through vaccinations or infections, if you get other doses, you will not harm the immune system.
Last week, Kathy Hochul Governor launched a new web portal for information about measles after four identified cases were discovered in the state.
Two measles were confirmed in New Jersey last month.
