MDH identifies the first measles in 2025

DC health I issued a warning A person who has been positive for measles on Tuesdays said he visited several places while contagious. The person is believed to have visited a health clinic in Washington on March 22 by two AMTRAK trains on March 19, and DC officials are trying to inform people in the region that they may have been exposed.
A spokesman for DC Health told FOX 9 that a person who flew from Minnesota to Washington DC did not provide more information about flying or arriving.

In Minnesota, measles are generally rare, but in 2024 there were spikes and 70 cases were reported. According to the MDH website, the state has seen 22 cases in 2022 and 75 in 2017.
