In addition, you can contact the public health room of 610-278-5117 to facilitate a safe visit and reduce the exposure of employees and other patients.
Medical service providers must immediately report suspected measles to OPH at 610-278-5117 or 610-635-4300.
Measles virus may remain on the air and surface for up to two hours after an infected person left the area. Someone can be infected by breathing in a contaminated air or touching an infected surface and then touching the eyes, nose or mouth.
Health officials recommend that they get measles vaccines if they haven’t yet done so.
