Rockford, Illinois (WREX) -Norta northern Nami, Illinois, a 11-year-old Jalyah Thompson died on Monday night, centered on hope and healing.
A 11 -year -old child who lost his life for suicide triggered a conversation on mental health and disease.
The community conversation was a stage for healing for someone who lost someone in suicide.
Nami Northen Illinois has hope, healing and dialogue with the death of Jalyah Thompson.
Kinsie White, a mental health advocate of nami Northern Illinois, says: “There are helpful organizations and resources. Let’s not do this from happening. ”
Mental health institutions had resources. At the RPL Nordloff Center where the event was held.
“There is someone who is worried about helping them. And I don’t know where the resources are, and I don’t know where the resources are so that they can help people who are not helped with the same people. ”
The panel was heard from a variety of mental health experts, a mother and suicide survivor, including Jalyah’s aunt Kyla Trrevino-ILOH.
“We want to silence the noise and stop the pain we feel. Unfortunately, my nephew has done what she has done and she was just a baby, ”said Trevino-ILOH.
“In our hearts, we think we are giving favor to everyone. This is the idea of our heart. The pain we work hard to escape, we have left with our loved ones. ”
The organizer hopes to help people take action and prevent further tragedy.
“Many people have fallen through the cracks of our system and are unhappy. So we hope that good things will come from this tragic loss, ”said White.
