meIn the mid -1960s, NA Hospital in Waterloo, London, was a psychiatric ward full of sleeping women. The residents of the “sleeping room”, which suffer from various disabilities, from postpartum depression to chronic anxiety and poor appetite, have been calmed down. Everyone was under the supervision of the psychiatrist William Sargant, who was welcomed as a Pioneer at the time. SARGANT insisted that the combination of forced drugs and ECTs could be confusing.
