In the case of severe swelling or leg fatigue, the ideal treatment is a procedure called venous resection. This includes paralyzing the appropriate veins to redirect the blood flow to relieve the symptoms, and then run the catheter or small tube over the leg. Dr. Hearn said within about 24 hours, “Your legs are already lighter.”
There is no words about whether President Trump will choose this treatment, but it is effective in reducing heavy and edema in about 9 out of 10 patients in his lifetime.
