M tick threats are worse than we thought. This month, a new study shows that the United States has more mites that can cause abnormal allergies to red meat.

Scientists at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have published a study at the Emerging Infective Diseases Journal at the end of last week. Officially, the details of the red meat allergies, known as alpha-gallery syndrome, are generally tied to the water of two ticks that are not related to it, causing lime bottles. This may seem rare, but more people are more dangerous to the syndrome than the current assumptions.

Alpha-Gal is a sugar found in the muscles of most mammals, but the important thing is not human. We usually endure the alpha breasts found in meat that is eaten without problems. But for the reason we still try to understand, tick bite sometimes can cause excess immune response to alpha-Gal, and in essence we can have allergies in red meat and cows. Alpha-gallery syndrome is the only classic food allergic that contains sugar (alpha-Gal) rather than protein. Unlike other food allergies, symptoms can take several hours, not a few minutes to appear after exposure.

In the United States, the alpha-Gal case is almost always related to the lonely star ticks (Ambleomma americanum), This is mainly found as a whole Half Nara. But in other parts of the world, there are other ticks known to cause it, and the main doctors have sometimes have an incident where lonely stars should not live.

In this latest study, scientists have found at least two alpha -gales, which do not meet typical explanations.

~ Inside One studyResearchers recorded women after being bitten from unknown bell ticks in Washington, which developed Alpha-Gal in 2017. As a result, she switched to a vegetarian diet. Three years later, she ate a second tick. She avoided symptoms from dietary therapy, but blood tests showed a significant increase in antibodies for alpha-Gal. This time, I was able to collect ticks for testing IXODES Pacific OceanOr the black leg mite. Two years later, she got another water me. Peaceful I once again experienced the rise of alpha-Gal antibodies. Importantly, women also did not report the recent travel history where the Lone Star Tick was found.

at Second studyThe researchers again tracked the case of Alpha-Gal in the main. Ixodes scapularis Mites or deer ticks. According to researchers, lonely star ticks were rarely found, but they are not thought to have established a regional population in this area. Nevertheless, they were able to discover 23 identified red meat allergies reported in the state that dates back to 2014. Some people have been able to catch this event while traveling to the area on the Lone Star Tick, but some have reported that they did not report such a trip.

“The result can reflect a limited role in other species. A. americanum (Alpha-Gal Syndrome) Further support by reviewing the geographic distribution of cases suspected of development in the United States. A. Ambleomma Mites. ”The author wrote in one paper.

In other words, most red meat allergies in the United States are still reported in places where lonely star ticks are found. The laboratory experiment also supported the idea that this mites are more likely to cause allergies than other species in the United States. Ixodes Mites are widely distributed in the United States and are already known to spread unpleasant diseases such as lime to people.

It is caused by an alpha-Gal case Ixodes Mites can be rarely than classic versions. The overall incidence of the syndrome is climbing. In 2023, CDC and other people found that up to 450,000 Americans have developed alpha-gallery syndrome from 2010, and the rate will increase during that period. Therefore, if more ticks can cause a state, in addition to lonely stars, researchers say that people and doctors in countries that are not commonly found should know at least the possibility.
