Employees of Georgia Day Care facility are facing criminal charges after providing drugs to infants before taking a nap, authorities said.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported that the teacher of FORSYTH Methodist Church Daycare was accused of three reckless actions on March 5.
According to the online prison record, the teacher maintained custody without debt on Tuesday.
According to the sheriff’s office, on Sunday, other employees of the Church’s daycare centers said that the workers were given to the children to be “sleepy during the nap” to the worker.
“These children were about two and a half years old,” the office said in a statement.

USA TODAY has contacted Forsyth Methodist Church, about 60 miles southeast of Atlanta.
Investigators say that the nursery has given the children benadryl.
The authorities reported to the nursery where the colleague gave the teacher a benadryl to the children and reported to the day when they did not report the case until 8 pm on March 9.
Officials said they only received tips after a Facebook post on this incident.
The sheriff said in the press release, “After reviewing the video scene and talking with the witnesses, the teacher was giving the children a medicine.”
The law enforcement agency said the teacher turned himself on Monday.
This incident remained during Tuesday investigation. Officials said more accusations of teachers could be raised and could be charged with additional suspects.
