According to the American Cancer Society, colon rectal cancer is the third cause of death and the fourth largest cause of women.
More than 150,000 people are diagnosed each year.
Dr. Meredith Pelster is a gastrointestinal cancer research vice president of Sarah Cannon Research Institute and is a medical tumor specialist in Scri Oncology.
She says 10%of new cases are found in people under 50. The symptoms to be found are changes in the intestinal blood, such as diarrhea or constipation, feces blood, abdominal pain, cramps and unprecedented weight loss. It is important to actively participate in screening. Dr. Fellster says that colon cancer is fatal if it is found in the later stage. The five -year survival rate is only 15.9%. The doctor recommends that 45 years of age or early selection depending on family history.
