Makary argues that the contract with the Trump administration and Pfizer will help to solve the overall medical costs.
Makary said, “We have solved the greater problem of US medical costs by rating serious drug prices, which has not been processed so far,” Makary said.
According to Pfizer, Trumprx will provide up to 85%saving for certain drugs, such as Duavee, a drug that treats menopausal symptoms.
DUAVEE’s sticker price is $ 203 a month, but according to PFIZER, TrumpRX takes $ 30 a month. XELJANZ, a painting and drug for arthritis, is currently $ 6,000 a month, but Trumprx is about $ 3,600.
Makary told CBS News that even if there was a discount on CBS News, many Americans asked if the drug could still be cheap, “This is the main stage and we should do so.”
The Trump administration said the Trumprx website will be released next year, but Makarty has no specific timing.
Makary still believes that health insurance patients who can’t afford certain medicines will still be helped by Trumprx.

More than 90% of Americans have any type of health insurance, but many are still trying to save important drugs. WisniesWski told CBS News that it was skeptical about the new TrumPRX program.
“If Big Pharma doesn’t have to put a drug in this market, if you do not lower the price, it feels like a symbolic statement, unlike the actual and long -term impact on a clinically painful life.”
She also questioned plans to put a pharmaceutical company to put pressure on the pharmaceutical company to list the most urgently needed drugs on the platform. She said that some of the drugs remain inexpensive at a low price of 50% to 80%.
Makary told CBS News that this was only the beginning of the solution.

Stacie Dusetzina, an expert in prescription drug industry and a professor of health policy at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, said the president’s plan would not lower the cost of most Americans.
Dusetzina said, “The reality that you can actually benefit by paying cash for the drug through this website will probably be a smaller number of people than being promoted.”
Sean Sullivan, a health economist at the University of Washington, also questioned the CBS news about how much this program would help Americans saved.
“Most patients are guaranteed drugs. … If the drug is not guaranteed a drug such as weight loss or erectile dysfunction drug, few people buy medicines in cash,” he said.
