Scientists have revealed the mechanisms of aspirin to reduce the metastasis of some cancer by stimulating the immune system. In research, publication natureScientists say that when discovering mechanisms, it will support continuous clinical trials, leading to the use of aspirin and preventing more effective drug development to prevent the spread of cancer of sensitive types.

Scientists can have serious side effects for some people, and clinical trials are in progress, and they decide how to use them safely and effectively to prevent cancer proliferation.

A study on cancer patients shows that people who take low -dose aspirin every day decrease the diffusion of some cancers, such as breast, intestinal and prostate cancer, and conduct clinical trials. But so far, I didn’t know exactly how aspirin could prevent metastasis.

In a study led by researchers at the University of Cambridge, scientists say that their discovery of aspirin reduces cancer metastasis is fierce.

They were investigating this process because 90%of cancer deaths spread to other parts of the body while the cancer began in one position.

Scientists wanted to better understand how the immune system reacted to metastasis. This is because individual cancer cells are especially vulnerable to immune attacks when individual cancer cells escape from the origin and spread to other parts of the body.

The immune system can more effectively recognize and kill these lonely cancer cells than cancer cells in larger tumors, which often developed an environment that suppresses the immune system.

The researchers previously selected 810 genes from the mouse and found 15 that affect cancer metastasis. In particular, they found that mice without genes that produce proteins called ARHGEF1 have fewer metastases of primary cancer on lungs and liver.

The researchers have decided that ARHGEF1 inhibits the type of immune cells called T cells that can recognize and kill metastatic cancer cells.

In order to take advantage of this discovery, to develop treatment, the drug had to find a way for the target. Scientists track the signal in the cells, determining that Arhgef1 is turned on when T cells are exposed to clotting arguments called Thromboxane A2 (txa2).

This was an unexpected revelation for scientists because TXA2 is already well known and is associated with aspirin’s operation.

TXA2 is produced by platelets. Cells of blood flow help blood clots and wounds prevents bleeding, but sometimes causes heart attacks and strokes. Aspirin reduces the production of TXA2, which has a prevention effect that is the basis of the ability to prevent heart attack and stroke.

This new study found that aspirin reduces TXA2 and does not suppress T cells to prevent cancer from spreading. They showed that the frequency of metastasis was reduced compared to the control mouse in a mouse with a black species using a black mouse model, dependent on the release of T cells from the suppression by TXA2.

“Despite the development of cancer treatment, early stage cancer patients are treated as surgical removal of tumors, despite the development of cancer treatment.

“Most immunotherapy has been developed to treat patients with metastatic cancer, but there is a unique treatment window, especially when cancer cells are vulnerable, especially when cancer cells are vulnerable, and we hope that treatments for this vulnerable window will have a huge range of early cancer patients.

Dr. JIE YANG, who conducted research at Cambridge University, said, “It was the moment of Eureka when we discovered that TXA2 is a molecular signal that activates this inhibitory effect on T cells. Before we, we did not know the meaning of our discovery in understanding Aspirin’s anti -meta activity.”

“Aspirin or other drugs that can target this path are likely to be cheaper than antibody -based therapy, so you can access more worldwide.”

In the future, researchers will work with Professor Ruth Longley at the MRC clinical trial department in the University College London to help to translate their work into potential clinical practice. Add-Aspirin Clinical TrialTo find out if aspirin can prevent the early stage of cancer from returning.

Professor Langley, who did not participate in this study, said, “This is an important discovery, which will allow us to interpret the results of our ongoing clinical trials and to solve the benefits of aspirin after cancer diagnosis.

“A small number of people can cause serious side effects, including bleeding or ulcers. Therefore, it is important to understand what people with cancer are likely to benefit.”
