The United Nations said on Tuesday that more than 14 million children were not completely vaccinated in 2024.
In Europe and Central Asia, the average children’s vaccination rate has stagnated or decreased by 1%, the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF said in a joint report.
Officials warned that a wide range of incorrect information and serious international aid cuts have expanded the scope of application, resulting in millions of children.
European preventable diseases
In Europe, it was tripled in about 300,000 in 2024, and measles infections doubled to 125,000 people due to the drop in vaccines.
Meanwhile, Nigeria, India, Sudan, Congo Democratic RepublicEthiopia, Indonesia, Yemen, Afghanistan and Angol have more than half of children who have not been vaccinated from all over the world.
In a statement, Catherine Russell, executive director of UNICEF, said in a statement that millions of children remain without protection from preventive diseases. “We must worry.”
Cases of measles are soaring across us
Health Report occurs 25 years after the WHO declared measles from the United States.
In 2025, the United States showed 1,288 measles in 2025 as the disease that could be prevented in vaccine was spread, and last week, the disease was reported by the disease and prevention center.
According to the United Nations, the vaccine prevents 3.5 million to 5 million deaths per year.
