NIH cuts funds for research on vaccine hesitation and acceptance.

According to an e -mail obtained by Washington Post, the National Institute of Health (NIH) has reduced or canceled more than 40 subsidies focusing on how to increase vaccine and vaccine.

The Michelle Bulls ordered employees to immediately terminate funding on Monday, Michelle Bulls, Director of Foreign Affairs and Management Policy. According to the post, the study is no longer consistent with institution priority.

This e -mail described a particular language that will be used for the end notice.

This movement is introduced by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (HHS) through new leadership. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. New HHS has long questioned vaccine safety and promotes scientifically controversial arguments connecting vaccines with autism.

It is not clear whether Kennedy played a direct role in the decision, but his appointment was not unstable for the medical research community.

Experts come to the time when fund cuts are important. The United States has reported 222 measles over 12 states this year, and since 2019, kindergarten’s vaccination rate has decreased. US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Researchers Manoj Sharma received a CDC subsidy that had ended to assess the vaccine last year and told the post that the current occurrence emphasizes the importance of continuous research.

Sharma, a professor of society and behavioral health at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, said, “There is a need to improve vaccine acceptance behavior. In particular, it is still approaching due to the potential resurrection of measles and covid -19. ”

DELESHA CARPENTER, a researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, spent three years in studying the Covid vaccine through the previous NIH subsidies.

She is concerned that the end of the research will limit the efforts to provide trusted vaccine information to the public.

Carpenter said, “If you stop studying the vaccine, you will take the ability to provide the best information about whether the vaccine is most interested,” Carpenter said. “They still made a decision.”

NIH is also reducing funds for transgender problems, diversity and inclusiveness and research on Chinese universities.

According to an internal document, the official said last week that the management staff received guidance on how to terminate the funds in this field.
