Kansas City, KCTV -Leaders from all over the state were in college health for the signing ceremony on Wednesday. It is the latest stage of making new mental health facilities into reality.
University Health will be led by a 300,000 -square -foot facility located in Belvidere Park. There will be a bed to help you care for at least 200 Missouri. This will provide treatment services to people who have a mental health crisis or need to evaluate.
This will also bring 600 new jobs to the university health system. Charlie SHIELDS president and CEO says he can’t solve this $ 300 million investment without serious partnerships in the city and state.
Shields said, “In Missouri, it shows the largest capital spending on everything other than the road we have for decades. Therefore, the legislature is listening, and we show that there are two presidents, Parson and Kehoe. It shows that you are making. So it is very positive for local cities and weeks. “
The Quinton Lucas market attended when a new facility was sitting on the city owned by the city. This was another stage of paying for plans for this facility.
“Today is a good day. I was able to invest in Jefferson City, former Governor of Mike Parson, Governor Mike Kehoe, and Kansas City City, and I was able to build land and grant large amounts of hospitals to college health,” Lucas said.
There was also a representative of the state administration and the Ministry of Mental Health.
Leaders hope to open their doors in a new facility in 2028. In the next few months, rendering is expected to be released.
