MONTCALM COUNTY residents signed a measles after traveling out of the Lord, marking the fourth case of Michigan this year.
MONTCALM COUNTY, MICH. -Montcalm county residents have recently traveled out of the week and brought measles.
As a result, the Montcalm County case is made as the fourth measles this year.
The Michigan Central Regional Health Agency (MMDHD) said it will work closely with the Ministry of Health and Welfare to determine the exposure point.
MMDHD advised anyone who is not affected by measles. They said that the best protection of measles is measles, epidemic and rassomelity (MMR) vaccines because the vaccine provides a long -lasting protection of measles.
Liz Braddock, the head of MMDHD health, said, “In MMDHD, we take measures to protect, maintain, and improve the health of the community. If you have recently traveled to an area where measles has occurred and have not been vaccinated for measles, it is a good idea to get vaccination as soon as possible. It is important to protect yourself and your family from this vaccine.
Up to 9/10 people near people infected with measles are infected if they are not protected according to MMDHD.
“Infected individuals can spread measles before they know their symptoms four days before the rash appears. Measles are generally 7-14 days after contact with the virus, but can take up to 21 days.”
MMDHD listed the following general measles symptoms and watched:
- High fever (can ride soaring above 104˚f)
- cough
- snot
- Red, water with water (conjunctivitis)
- Small white spots on the roofs of the inner cheeks, gums and mouths (koplik spots)
- The rash, which begins with a flat red spot on the face of the hairline, spreads with trunks, arms and legs 3-5 days after the symptoms begin. Small and rising bumps can appear on flat red spots.
If you may have been exposed to measles or developed the symptoms listed above, you should contact the medical service provider before you receive treatment before you receive treatment before you receive treatment.
MMDHD said, “The measles vaccine is very effective, very safe, and provides a long -lasting protection.” The single capacity of measles vaccines is about 93% effective in preventing measles and the dose of about 97%. It is also effective even if it is given within 72 hours of measles to prevent illness. People who are not completely vaccinated against measles are recommended to do so as soon as possible. “
