Brenna Bird’s Iowa Attorney General (AG) has published a multinational letter that blames drugs on Friday. This letter was also sent by DC, US Virgin Islands and 34 leaders.
Ag Bird said he just wanted to keep everyone safely.
“There is no risk of anyone trying to improve health.” “But bad actors mix people with fake treatments and unknown substances at home. It is a disaster recipe. And this fake drug injured real life. If you leave it unidentified, such safe and unmodible drugs can lead to hospitalization and overdose. I am urging the FDA to take action to prevent counterfeit drug epidemics and to keep Americans safely. ”

Bad actors used rapid demand for weight loss drugs such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound and Mounjaro. Uncovered and untreated counterfeit medicines in countries, including China, Turkey and India, are now flooding the United States, which can be rarely distinguished from actual drugs and can contain dangerous contaminants or unknown substances. In some cases, injectable insulin is re -packed and sold falsely with Oz Pick. Injecting these fake drugs can result in serious consequences, including hospitalization.
The problem worsens when an online retailer sells active materials without prescription. If someone’s health needs to formalize the drug itself, it can be risked if the drug must be formulated without proper supplies or knowledge of how to safely combine the ingredients or inject drugs. The state calls for the FDA to intercept dangerous counterfeit drugs and take immediate measures to take responsibility for illegal activities.
