“If you eat 50 grams of processed meat a day, the risk of colon cancer has increased 18 %.”
The doctor said:
“I’m not a vegetarian, but I make a conscious decision to reduce the amount of processed meat.
“Plant -based diets and Mediterranean diets have many studies on health benefits.”
The main problem of processed meat is nitrate and nitrite, which is added to preserve and color.
These are a problem when exposed to heat or reacting with other compounds.
