WASHINGTON — A dietary supplement powder sold at Sam’s Club has been recalled due to an ongoing salmonella outbreak that has infected 11 people.
Food and Drug Administration, Several states are investigating reports of salmonella with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and three people have been hospitalized.
The Food Safety Authority said the outbreak was linked to a single lot of moringa leaf powder from Vallon Farm Direct PVT LTD in India. As part of the investigation, all Member Mark “Super Greens” dietary supplements were recalled, regardless of lot code or expiration date.

Nine out of 10 people interviewed by CDC reported taking powdered dietary supplements. Six of them said they had specifically used the Members’ Mark brand.
Florida, Kansas, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia have all reported cases.

The last illness was reported on September 4, 2025, according to the CDC.
Sam’s Club has stopped selling and distributing health supplements.
Consumers are urged to stop consuming or providing recalled dietary supplements. If you have an item subject to recall, you can discard the item or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. Healthy people infected with the bacteria typically experience fever, diarrhea that may be bloody, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain within 12 to 72 hours after ingestion. Symptoms usually last 4 to 7 days.
In rare cases, salmonella can enter the bloodstream and cause more serious illnesses, including infected aneurysms, endocarditis, and arthritis.
