Global Health Norway Conference 2025

Annual Global Health Norway Conference It will be held in Bergen from November 5th to 6th, 2025. This year’s event is hosted by the University of Bergen’s International Health Center.

The meeting consists of two main parts. Topic keynote session and scientific abstract presentation.

Part 1: Topic keynote session

The first part has a keynote speech about four central themes.

  • Inter -Korean Cooperation: How can we strengthen cooperation?
    Successful global partnerships between the north and south of the world require mutual respect, transparent communication and sharing goals. It is essential to recognize the historical impact of colonies in creating a fair and balanced relationship.
    Keynote speaker: Dr. Catherine Kyobutungi and PLOS Global Public Health Co -editor, the manager of APHRC (African Population and Health Research Center).
  • Climate Change: How can we respond to this global crisis?
    How does this change affect the health of the world as climate problems such as temperature, sea level rise and extreme weather events increase? Case studies to be explored are heat -induced kidney disease.
    Keynote Speaker: Professor Carl-gustaf ELILINDER, Karolinska University Hospital and Sweden’s Karolinska Institute; Professor of Helge Drain, Bergen University Physics Research Institute.
  • Research Priority: How should I decide what is most important?
    Insight will be shared in the global burden project of the disease project, and the discussion will focus on setting up global health research priorities.
    Keynote speaker: Professor Simon øverland, International Health Center; Kjell Arne Johansson Professor, BCEPS; Professor EMIL VOLLSET, an honorary star at Bergen University.
  • AI in global health: How can you take advantage of potential?
    AI offers innovative opportunities for global health, from improving diagnostic to personalized treatment and system optimization.
    Keynote speaker: Professor Pinar Heggernes, Bergen.

Part II: Scientific abstract presentation

Researchers, students and health experts are invited to submit green on topics related to global health research. Accepted submissions are presented in the second part of the meeting.
