Fulbright Commission invites the Fulbright Foreign Student Program (FFSP) application for a master’s degree of study in the United States. Each year, about 4,000 students from 160 countries join the world’s scholarship networks to receive full Bright scholarships and foster international cooperation and cultural exchanges. FFSP offers complete funds for up to two years of master’s degree program at some American universities. Scholarships deal with tuition, travel, living expenses and other programs, and support research in all areas except medicine and nursing. As a US government’s flagship international education and cultural exchange initiative, the Fulbright program builds a bridge that crosses culture and strengthens global connections. The selected candidates start the program in the fall of 2026.
Qualification standard
- citizenship: It must be Nepal citizens and now residents.
- Business experience: At least 3 years source Full time, professional work in Nepal in the field related to the proposed research. Professional referrals should check the employment details.
- education:
- At least 16 years of education: A master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree and a 16 -year requirement.
- Ineligible: Multi -short bachelor’s degree who has not completed the master, or has not earned a master’s degree.
- Academic performance:
- 60% aggregate or 3.0 GPA system
- English skills (Need only after candidates): You must show enough abilities. TOEFL (100+) or GRE score depending on topic/major requirements. Effective test scores of the past may be allowed.
- Visa eligibility: Non-immigrant J-1 US visa must be qualified and should not be held or pursued with an American immigrant visa.
- submit: The application must be completed online. Hard copy is not allowed.
*All women receive a visa of exchange visitors (J-1), so an individual must return to Nepal when the academic program is completed. The woman is not deserved to receive immigrant visas, permanent residences or non -immigrant visas to re -enter the United States until she lives in NEPAL for two years after returning to Visa as an immigrant visa, permanent worker (“H” visa) or a trainee (“H” visa) or a traffic in visa (“L” visa). This does not exclude individuals for two years to go to the United States as a different visa.

*You need proof of official documents. Proving a copy of the document can be done by the issuing agency, the Nepalese government, the Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University or Government Approval. Usef-Nepal also provides proof services.
The certificate can fall from 10 am to 4 pm from the USEF-NEPAL office. Along with a clear copy, you must submit all the original academic documents listed below. Copy the back information of the mark sheet.

- Bachelor/Master: A copy of TU (when the degree comes from KU/PU, you need individual grade sheets) and provoking certificates.

Ineligibility
- Individuals who live outside Nepal, study or work
- Person with our degree already. It is preferred for those who have no priorities or those who have no foreign experience.
- Individuals living in the United States for more than 6 months before the deadline for submission of the application
- Individuals with US citizenship or US permanent residence
- Nepal’s Use F-NEPAL and US Mission employees and spouses and stimulates are not eligible for subsidies for one year after employment and end of employment.
- Individuals apply for medical and nursing degrees.
