Thousands of Benadryls have been recalled due to concerns about “child addiction” due to drug packaging.
The recall of 100 mL bottles of Benadryl Liquid Elixir was announced by Thursday manufacturer Arsell. Products affected were sold from July 2023 to October 2024 from $ 16 to $ 19 online from Amazon.com.
According to the online notice The packaging of the affected placement is not a child’s resistance, and “If you swallow the contents by children, it causes the danger of addiction.”
The recall is sold with a rounded dark plastic bottle with a pink and white label on the front with the word “Benadryl” of the blue text. This product contains 100 ml of benadryl.
The back label includes safety disclosure, storage guidelines and manufacturer information.

Arsell said that about 2,300 bottles of allergic drugs were affected and recalls were not reported yet.
Benadryl contains diphenhydramine, which should be in child energy packaging as required by poison prevention packaging.
Arsell recommends that consumers should immediately secure Benadryl in the scenes and reach of their children and refund Arsell.
The company advised to be asked to submit the Amazon order number to recept@arselsupport.com with a photo showing the disposal of Benadryl, which was recalled to the consumer.
The bottle is not only the drug itself, but the recall, but both must be disposed of.
