Congratulations, you made it on the last day of creativity challenge!
One of the most closely related to creativity is Opened to a new experience. Some people naturally do not include that way, but as with all aspects of creativity, openness can be developed. In a sense, you may have practiced all week. If such an activity is a little out of your army, that is the point. Experts say that the easiest way to open is to try something new.
“New” can be small and can be a minor adjustment to everyday life. Even if you choose a different path from the everyday promenade or order a red sea bream for the first time in a regular restaurant.
James C. Kaufman, a professor of educational psychology at the University of Connecticut and the author of “Creativity benefits,” said, “No one needs to jump.” “We are talking about 10 -degree shifts, not 180,” he said.
Roger Beaty, an associate professor of psychology at Penn State, who studies creativity, said that trying new things can feel good and empowered. Enjoying your activity is more likely to say that your brain is worth it and try another new pursuit along the way.
And if the new is not completely surprising, do not decrease. Jonathan Schooler, a psychological scientist at the University of Santa Barbara, said that most of the experiences have good moments and bad moments, and fortunately we often hold more memories over time. Sumper may not have been your taste, but his head was still on, and his son made everyone laugh by talking like an old friend throughout the dinner.
For this last challenge, we ask you to try something new. And we have some ideas to start you. Choose a larger thing or choose smaller ones. This is the second time, make a plan next week. Whatever you choose, we hope you will feel subtle and continuous changes with more curiosity, openness and joy.
