Most Veterans who have registered for health care insurance through the VHA (Veterans Health Administration) have additional insurance coverage through public programs such as traditional Medicare or public programs such as Medicare Advantage or employer sponsorship insurance. In recent years, veteran registration has increased significantly in the Medicare advantage. Historically, it was unclear how to change the Medicare Advantage policy on how to use the VHA service.

that Alliance Evidence -based Policy Resources Center (PEPREC) recently released a simple information that explores whether the VHA service has been dependent due to changes in the change of Medicare Advantage Plan Benefit Design. Read the entire brief here.

PEPREC is a team of health economists, public health research institutes and policy analysts who participate in policy admissions to improve the lives of veterans through advanced quantitative methods that are mostly funded by QUERI in the Veterans Health Bureau.
