“Big and deeper meanings:” The new Ice Bucket Challenge raises awareness of mental health.

The Ice Bucket Challenge has returned, but this time I did a new mission.

Challenge is simple. Someone abandons a frozen bucket like ice on your head and then nominates others to challenge.

Local students participated in the trend, including some members of the EC Glass Lacrosse team.

It is called “Speak Your Mind” challenge.

This trend began to raise awareness of mental health and to increase support for “Active Minds”, a non -profit organization at the University Carolina University.

Trends were supported by sports teams, groups and individuals.

“This means that sports teams, athletes, high schools, middle school and cheerleaders say that we want to talk about mental health and use this virus moment to say that it has a bigger and deeper meaning.”

Curtis was nominated and participated in the challenge.

He said the reaction was incredible.

If you are having trouble or know someone, Curtis is a good idea to contact and talk.

CURTIS also challenged to participate in 13 ABC employees, so be careful of the very chilly news journalists and anchors!
