Clinical Research Leadership (CRL) Fellowship Program strengthens the capacity of individuals, institutions and society of low -income and low -income countries (LMIC) to conduct influential research to solve the following global health problems.
- Infectious diseases and onset
- Control and removal of poverty diseases
- The effect on the health of climate change
- Resistance to treatment and control agents
The CRL Fellowship program, which started by TDR in 2023, is based on four pillars.
- Pillar 1: Improved clinical research technology obtained through the flexible deployment of FELLOWS in the TPO.
- Pillar 2: Customized learning, coaching and
- Leadership experience in home organizations depends on the demands and interests of each colleague.
- Pillars 3: Gender equality was promoted through aggressive measures to ensure fair participation of women, men and people, which are not suitable for this binary identity.
- Pillars 4: We have strengthened institutional abilities by maximizing our colleagues’ contribution to re -entry.
CRL Friendship Program 2025
This new community program will focus on research leadership and use clinical research technology to maximize the value of clinical research technology obtained through the TPO, along with the ability to communicate and support with members of various fields along with its capabilities and functions. In particular, we will make every effort to support women’s participation in establishing learning of former colleagues and establishing institutional development plans. Colleagues can maximize contributions to strengthening institutions for re -entry and develop and manage research teams to conduct research. Friendship is expected to contribute greatly to the development of the best and promising researchers, and is expected to strengthen the effects of the improvement of LMIC’s research institutes, including the promotion of fellow training.
In the first and second rounds in 2023 and 2024, 20 colleagues (7 men, 13 women) and 16 colleagues (8 men, 8 women) were selected for 13 TPOs. The TDR invites applicants who are interested in the CRL Fellowship program, and carefully read the qualification criteria for the application for TDR and apply for the third round.
TDR will fund funds for colleagues hired by academic and research institutes in low -income and intermediate income countries around the world.It is not limited to sub -Saharan Africa) Placed in pharmaceutical companies in Africa, the United States, Asia, Europe and Latin America, product development partnership (PDPS) and academic -related research institutes to train and develop new research technologies for infectious diseases.
Successful applicants will be deployed in the TPO between six and 12 months and receives a re -integration plan for 12 months from their own agencies. Fellowship is based on the proposed target education provided by each TPO.
eligibility
To be considered eligible to answer the phone, the applicant must do the following:
- Be a citizen and resident of LMIC.
- It is a MD or graduate school with a Ph.D. or a master’s degree in clinical trials, pharmacies or other related fields.
- For the past 24 months, a researcher or clinical research staff employed in the last 24 months in institutions with a corporation registered in an LMIC that conducts clinical research activities in poverty -related infectious diseases, emerging infectious diseases, infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and NTD.
Preferred: clinical trial experience
Selection process
The process includes the following steps:
- Applications submitted before the deadline will receive the initial screening of the TDR Secretariat according to the qualification standards.
- The eligible application is delivered to the participation TPO.
- The TPO selects up to five candidates for interviews.
- The interview is held between the home organization, the candidate and the TPO with the TDR.
- The TPO sets the candidate ranking based on the interview.
- The final matching process of candidates and TPOs is carried out by TDR.
- When the matching process is completed, the home agency, the fellow and the TPO will provide information about the final match where the contract will begin.

Design and behavior of clinical trials, including operational plans, management and evaluation; Clinical development of vaccines, including relevant epidemiological studies; Evaluation of drug development programs; diagnosis; Biological statistics; Data management and pharmacology.
