Governor Katie Hobbs announced Monday that Arizona residents can now sign up for a discount card through ArrayRx.
PHOENIX — Gov. Katie Hobbs announced Monday that Arizonans will have the opportunity to pay lower prescription drug prices regardless of whether they have health insurance or not.
Starting November 3, Grand Canyon State residents can sign up for a discount card through: ArrayRx, It is a public pharmacy collaborative that includes Oregon, Nevada, Connecticut, and Washington.
The governor’s office says digital cards can help residents save up to 80 percent on medication costs.
The ArrayRx website states that there are no fees or income requirements to sign up for the benefit. And discount cards are available to individuals with or without insurance.
If your insurance company doesn’t cover a drug or quotes a high price, you can use the card to potentially get a discount, the governor’s office said.
“I encourage all Arizonans to sign up for a card to help them save on their medications,” Hobbs said in a statement. “I will continue to fight for the health and well-being of Arizonans and restore Arizona’s promise for families across the state.”
The card applies to FDA-approved prescriptions filled at 1,184 participating pharmacies located throughout Arizona. The card cannot be used with insurance, as users must choose the option that offers the greatest savings.
Discount card purchases do not count toward a person’s deductible or out-of-pocket maximum, according to the ArrayRx website. You can find more information here.
