Minnie Police (FOX 9) – The new herb shop in North Minnipolis hopes to improve access to overall healing, regardless of income or background.
Brew up something special
What we know:
As a herbal scholar, EVA Garrett creates his black idiot.
But she actually brew a healthier alternative for people in the community.
Garrett said, “I think that is very drug and healing. I hope there is something like I could be part of my childhood. ”
Garrett recently opened a natural ME ApotheCary near CAMDEN and sold more than 300 herbs, herbs and fresh juices.
She believes that it is the first drug owned by a black woman in the city, and the position is especially meaningful because Garrett grew up in northern Mini Polis.
Garrett said, “I know the culture here. I know there aren’t many herb shops. There is no nearby place. I also know that many people will do better if they have knowledge.
Connect to nature
Back story:
Garrett said he fell in love with the healing power of plants while working for changes in non -profit organizations and frog farms.
She says that African American communities have higher chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes than other racial groups.
She believes that providing natural therapy can improve health and connect with nature.
“I’m learning to take other things made by God and learn to heal myself.”
Mission to educate and grant authority
What they say:
Along with her herb shop, Garrett hopes to plant seeds for healthier lifestyles in the community to provide natural health therapy.
“I know that this is another way of working because the information is here because the information in front of my people is here.
Garrett had a soft opening for Natural Me in November, but she is planning a grand opening in a block party with other black owners in the building, and she will officially introduce drugs for other communities.
