The LTS is provided to the elderly veterans or people with disabilities is the core element of providing services to this growing population. Veterans can access LTS in institutions, homes or communities. In the case of VHA, Veterans can prefer home and community -based services rather than institutional management, and have significant cost savings for VHAs to manage LTS in their preferred environments.
