Intermittent fasting is more weight loss than traditional perception: Study

Traditional perceptions that limit calories are attempted and true methods for weight loss. But a new study shows that certain intermittent fasting therapy can be more effective.

Researchers at the Colorado University Ansstz Medical Campus compared random diet groups after 12 months.

Participants were 27-46 years old between 18 and 60 years of age, which were considered overweight or obese in disease control and prevention centers.

One group followed the calorie limit (DCR) every day, and the other group followed a 4: 3 intermittent empty stomach (IMF), where dieters eat freely four days a week and have intense calorie limitations for the rest of the three days.

After a year of research, the intermittent faster speed reported an average weight loss 7.6%compared to 5%of the calorie restriction group.

The study, published in the Journal of Annals of Internet, concluded that the 4: 3 IMF caused “weight reduction” among adults who are overweight or obese.

In an interview with FOX News Digital, Lead Study mentioned the differences between the IMF and the time limit habits.

“The IMF includes cycling on a ‘fast’ blade and a cycling between a completely or almost complete (75%or more) energy limit and on a day without considering the energy intake (even if necessary),” he said.

“This study shows that 4: 3 intermittent fasting is an effective and safe weight loss approach.”

“TRE is included to limit daily food intake windows to less than 8 to 10 hours (for example, 16/8 or 14/10 protocol).”

In a study that was funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH), participants had calorie goals 80% less than the standard energy requirements, which are about 400 to 600 calories per day for women and 500 to 700 calories for men.

Researchers pointed out that three days of early days could not go back. And on four “abnormal” participants, participants could eat what they wanted without counting calories, but encouraged healthy choices.

OSTENDORF said, “This study shows that 4: 3 intermittent fasting is an effective and safe weight loss approach, and that many other evidence -based formulas for adults who want to lose weight can be considered an option among strategies.

Research shows that every day can not be required.

In many other recent tests, other versions of IMFs, such as 5: 2, were tested without significant differences compared to DCR, the study pointed out.

OSTENDORF said, “After we finished the trial, we were somewhat surprised that our data was not consistent with the previously published research on IMF vs. DCR.

Researchers think that the three -day fasting is a “sweet point of the IMF paradigm.” It’s not too hard, but it’s still effective.

For those who are interested in trying to try the IMF method, Ostendorf suggests that the body can adapt by adding about 500 calories, starting with a single gold solidarity, and adding other fits over time.

Participants of the two groups met regularly with registered nutritionists, which may be possible for everyone who wants to lose weight, the researcher added.

“All participants in our research have received a comprehensive behavioral support program to provide a strategy to support them in weight loss travel.” “In the 4: 3 IMF group, the content was adjusted according to the approach.”

“(This) played a big role because random formation was supported to the participants of the two groups to support the paradigm, including nutrition information, responsibility, behavioral change strategy and social support.”

Participants reported that it was easier to eat all calories in time instead of spreading for a quick day.

“We recommended that participants would maintain moisture with non -calorie drinks such as black coffee or sparks with a spark -flavored seawater all day,” said OSTENDORF.

The researchers mentioned that more research on the safety of other populations, including children, adolescents, the elderly, pregnant women and diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or cancer.
